Pulled in and found several spots available that backed to the river. Self serve registration. We arrived on the 9/20 but they were closing for the season on 9/22. The climb up hwy 14 to the Pass at 8700’ from Dayton was steep with the trailer but the road was good with pullouts. The campground was not far from Burgess Junction and on ... more

This was a nice campsite in the Bighorn Mountains. Scenic with a river at the back and an additional creek passing close by our campsite. We also had our own resident moose! We saw her the first night getting a drink from the creek right by our campsite and then saw her again laying in the grass happily eating some grass. The campgr... more

TRUE WY! Bighorn NF camping is 9100' elevation, so depends on snowpack -- Jun thru Sep. No cell service for 10 miles - then it is 'iffy,' no satellite radio or TV, just stars, babbling brooks, fishin, hikin, campfires, pines, stars & wildlife.
