Overall Rating

We came here after taking the ferry over from Tobermory - it's only a little over an hour. Beautiful little spot along Lake Huron, that almost feels like the tropics. There's a boardwalk right across the street that takes you into 'town' with a couple of restaurants.

Be sure to check out Huron Island Time - great little ice cream shops that serves amazing Jamaican food!

The campground itself is very nice. The seasonal and 'real' sites are mostly all lovely - wooded and spacious. The campground is huge. We however were put in one of the overflow lots, which are kinda drab feeling in comparison.

Which was a good thing, because there's very unworkable cellular signal in this area - so we had to rely on Starlink for pre-scheduled webinars. And the only open sky was here.
