“Isolated campground along Deschutes River”

Reviewed 5/15/2023

Nightly rate: $17
RV Length: 14' (Travel Trailer)
Overall Rating

This is an isolated campground along the Deschutes River. It has sparse tree cover and is dusty. The access road is a rough dirt road with ruts and potholes. I would not bring a travel trailer here. Sites have a picnic table and fire grate. No water. Bring out your trash.
To access the campground from Burgess Road do NOT go through the private housing track between the road and the campground. There is no access through the development (your GPS is wrong if it shows that). Instead go around the housing to the east on Forest Road NF-500.

“On the Deschutes River!”

Overall Rating

Short walk to the Deschutes - just below Pringle Falls. Nice little campground - quite a bit of day use but DUSTY during the dry season. Fortunately everyone goes pretty slow in the campground but the powdery dust still gets raised and floats around unless there's a breeze.

Sites are pretty well separated and reasonable size.

Road in is pretty rough, narrow and dusty. Went in with a 17' trailer and no real problem but you probably wouldn't want to drive in with something more than 25-30'.
