"You only need to stay once."

Been there, done that (got the tee shirt). Cavendish is still recovering from deforestation as a result of Hurricane Dorian in 2019. Most the old growth trees are gone. The beach is nice and the facilities are clean, but PEI in general is a once and done kind of place (unless you’re an Anne of Green Gables fanatic). There’s not much hiking nor...

"Quiet and relaxing"

The park was easy to find. There is pavement all the way including the park interior roads. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. Our site, 57, was a back in that was long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp, water and sewer) were a bit of a mix. Water, power and one sewer were to...

"Older park with seasonals occupying most sites"

This hasn’t been a PEI Provincial Park for a while. It is a campground and 9 hole golf course owned and operated by the Belfast town business community. There are a few W/E sites with a water view, but all FHU sites along the water and golf course are occupied by seasonals. The few available FHU sites elsewhere in the campground are large and...

"Seaside"

Pretty little campground by the ocean. Grass camping, a few sites are in a grove of pine trees, but most are out in the open on the grass. Sites up on a level bluff seem to he mostly big campers with families. Most of these sites have an ocean view. Our first site, #43, had an electrical ground fault that our surge protector picked up on...

"Breezy with a few mosquitos"

active staractive staractive staractive starinactive star
The nice breeze off the Gulf helped with the mosquitos but repellent is a must. We stayed here in early Sept and so far, after traveling from Kentucky, up through Maine, it's been the only place there were any mosquito problems. Our campsite in C Loop felt a little shabby compared to other campgrounds, there are very few trees between...
