“Pretty Spot on the Columbia River”

Overall Rating

This is a relatively new campground along the Columbia River. We camped on a weekday in late May and were the only campers. There is a nice 3 mile hiking/biking trail along the River. About half the trail is paved and the rest is gravel. The campground is terraced with three rows. All of the campsites have a nice view of the River, but poplar trees block some of the view. The day use area with picnic tables and a swimming area are below the campground and adjacent to the River. Sites are gravel with grass in between sites and include a picnic table. The fee for drop in campers is $15 cash. Some leveling is needed. There is no electricity or dump station and I did not see a potable water source. It was quite windy overnight during our visit. The nearby Wanapum Heritage Center is worth a visit.

Primative RV spots right on the Columbia river. Nice and green in the park area but the sites are all somewhat sloping gravel - bring your leveling blocks.

Great spot for RV/Tent combo camping if you can handle a little bit of wind (or a lot depending on the awesome weather systems rolling in over the hills).
