“Good Stopover Spot”

Overall Rating

We pulled in on our way to Glacier NP for just a stopover night. The spot is good for a single group, maybe two if one group was in a rooftop tent like we are. It would be hard to maneuver more than two cars in the space. There is a single picnic table and one fire pit. Because it’s so small it is very private. There is a vault toilet that is also all yours. This site is the first stop along Recreation Rd once you exit from 15N. That being said, 15 is right there so there is ample road noise during the evening and morning. Overnight the noise was not that disruptive. We are used to road noise though so it didn’t bother us, but if you are in a tent (and I wouldn’t really recommend an RV come down here because of the steep hill in and not a lot of room to turn around) the noise will be noticeable. The site is set down off of Recreation Rd and we really didn’t notice too much disruption coming from there, plus you have a little privacy from the road. Price was $18/night since we are out of state visitors. It is cheaper for in-state fishing license holders, veterans, and older visitors. Cell coverage was ok for Verizon.
