Got there around 5pm, only one other camper there. Two sites were decently level, the rest - no way. Some are park and walk in to a tent spot. We chose #5 which was a pull through and had ample space and no trouble leveling the trailer.
The view at the back of the site into the valley below was amazing! Did a short hike from there with the dogs. Lots of trails to explore.
Campers were pulling in all night until about 9pm, but when we left at 8am, we were the last ones out.
Bonus: you can see the Milky Way.
Negative: no cell service

The narrow road and small sites are limited to small rigs or tent camping, smaller the better as sites are eroded and badly sloped. Maintenance needed. Took a while to level our small truck camper with 3 blocks in front. 12 sites, some a walk in to picnic table from vehicle or small parallel parking area. Was quiet and vault toilet was clean. Water available. Nature trail.

When you turn off the main road there is a sign that states no vehicles longer than 24 feet on the road that leads to the recreation area and campground. It is a steep narrow road but it is paved and totally doable as long as you’re not one that freaks out about drop offs with minimal to no guard rails.
When you get to the top the campground is to the left and day use and group areas to the right. There are 12 campsites total and arriving around 6 pm on a Saturday there were still 4-5 left. Most of the sites were pretty unlevel, ours wasn’t too bad and we were feeling lazy so we slept slightly crooked for the one night just fine.
No hookups, there’s a water spigot but a sign from a year ago said it wasn’t turned on due to freezing temps and we never checked to confirm. 2 bathrooms with vault toilets. No cell service.
We were happy to be just below 7000 feet and get some cooler air after leaving the sauna of Moab. Sorry we didn’t take photos!
