There was only 2 other fifth wheelers there. Sites long enough to park our 38 ft Class A and Jeep Cherokee with room to spare. Tent sites are on little peninsulas that extend into the water. Entry to park was easy. The price has increased to $20 per night for electric & water, unchanged for tent etc. Well worth it. If coming this way again, will definitely stay here.

Very inexpensive; nothing fancy; nice pull-throughs so no need to unhook tow vehicle; water and electricity. Dump station on site. The payment is by self-serve envelope at the park. Nice path around a small lake on site. A road does run right by the front row of campsites, but it didn't bother us much. Our first stay it was hot and we had our air conditioning on. Our second stay we were in a blasting thunderstorm. Windows were all closed in our camper both times, then we took off again first thing in the morning(s).

Attempted to stay 5/3/2022. At entrance on Lake Road (3 miles east of US-281), there was sign "Vehicles over 24,000 lbs. not allowed." So we turned around and went to Bert's RV Park north of Pratt.

The park is conveniently located off of Highway 400, but just far enough away to allow for little -- if any -- road noise. Roads to and into the park are easily accessible for any sized rig. If you have a smaller rig, and don't need hookups, I would strongly consider using one of the numerous "jetties" for a campsite. Certainly large enough with covered picnic tables and you would be right on the water. For $5, this looks like a great option, though I don't think it would be good for a rig over 30 feet, though that could be doable.
$15 for full hookups is a great deal. However, when we were there, they had just shut off the water to the campground for the season the day before. This meant the bathrooms were closed and there was no water to be had ANYWHERE in the park that we could find. Luckily we were only there for 1 night and happened to have some water in our fresh tank. It would have sucked had we pulled in and set up with an empty water tank. Some sort of signage pointing out the water is off for the season at the entrance would be helpful. If I were considering this site for early spring or late fall, I would definitely call ahead to check on the status of the water and plan accordingly.

We had looked at both of the local parks for camping, and we opted for PCVM because it offered 50 amp in the 90+ degree weather. All of the sites are large and level, offering water/electric through a self-pay box at $15 a night. The sites are spacious, and while there isn’t much greenery separating sites, there’s enough room for privacy. That said, there were only 2 other campers the night we stayed, and while there is an odd number of vehicles that seem to drive through the park and around the lake, it was quiet and felt safe. The lake is pretty and, and while we camped on a weekday, there wasn’t much activity. Our Verizon worked well without a booster, and there is an easy to access dump station on the way out. If we ever pass this way again, this would be our go to overnight.

A big play area for children. It was patrolled by law enforcement so we felt very safe. Not much tv with just an antenna. Cell service good. Quiet and not crowded.

We took a drive thru spot and there was a lot of motorized traffic at all times of the day, well into the late evening. The back-in's are not on the "Main Drag" of the campground. They are situated back towards the hiking trail. We camped there the first week of June and there were many sites left. I'm not sure about the weekends, but during the week you should have no problem finding a spot on a first come, first serve basis.

Lake was enjoyable to walk and run. Small little jettison out to the middle of the lake is a great area to let your pup play and run. If you want to boondock with no hookups there are some really cool sites that are directly on the lake.
The bad: the locals use this park a lot and the main route around the lake runs through the RV park. The traffic was insane and you kind of felt out of place in their local park. Also the wind can be gusting in that area. Windmills can be seen in the distance.
Good AT&T cell/internet service.

Go past the museum and fish hatchery, follow the road to the left and you’ll find it. Nothing at all wrong with the camp but it’s in Kansas. No mountains or ocean but good for a day or two if you are on the way somewhere.
