Spacious and NEW hookups sites 201-210 beautiful peaceful and clean park. Very nice man at the office. Price includes $5 day pass. Nice paved roads for biking or walking. Level pad did not unhook. I had straight phone service no problems. Loved it! There is a great Mexican food restaurant in Norton!

We stayed here on our way to visit Grand Canyon. Nice park, easy in and out. We chose to dry camp in Cottonwood campground. Off season rate for dry camping is $10 plus $5 vehicle permit.
Park has a dump station and 30/50 amp hookups available year round.

The starry, night sky was amazing, too. We would highly recommend this place!

The covered picnic tables were nice, and enjoyed both the incoming variety of water fowl, and the white tail deer that came through at various times.

Norton is about five miles from the park and we did some small town exploration which was fun, too. Highway 36 across Kansas was unexpectedly pleasant even during harvest season. The fact that I limit myself to driving 65 so my truck doesn't drop fuel economy too low when pulling my TT made it nicer.
One thing to keep in mind at any KS state park is that in addition to your camping fees you have to pay an entry fee. It's only $5 per day, but if you are on a very limited budget that can add up.

The prairie dogs are adorable, there is a colony living here in the park that you can watch from a pavilion. Seems like a lot of people boat and fish in the lake (we didn't), and there is also a swimming area.
