Nice dispersed camping area right along the river. We stayed during the week and there were only a few others in the area. Nice dispersed camping area right along the river. We stayed during the week and there were only a few others in the area. Plenty of space for our 40' TH in the site we chose, but not many we could've fit in. Single, narrow dirt roads to get to sites; the first road to the left was in the best condition. Only a 5 minute or less drive from town. The tracks you drive over to enter off the road, are a regular thoroughfare for cargo trains, and they do blow their horn at least once or twice going through; day or night, late night and any time of night. LOTS of mosquitoes. There is a bathroom (biffy), but it was swarming with BIG flies. The staff at the KOA just to the east of town was friendly, and allowed us to put water in our tank for no cost.
7 & 1 Adventures would stay here again

It’s gorgous, close to town, great cell, but a train came by 3-4 times (between midnight to 5am) over night and blares its horn. It seems like the train is a 24/hour thing.

A good option for free camping near the town. Nice big sites and VZ signal too. Road in is a bit rutted though. Train passes by pretty close. Used by the locals a lot it seems
