“Beautiful view”

We were close to the river and had a great view of the dock area.

The drive thru the boat yard was a little weird but totally worth it.

No dumping facility but the drive to the free dumping area was easy.

A great place to relax and unwind

“Nice place for a short stay if you're in the Central Connecticut area”

We did an overnighter here on our way to Maine. It's a nice quiet little camping area. Only water and 20/30 amp hookups, though. The sights are spaciousand a few back right up to the river. Many mature trees offer shade and a rustic charm. We would stay here again.

This may not be a destination, but if you need a place to stay while commuting on I-84 I can't think of a better place. Quiet, beautiful and friendly. Campground is on the back side of a marina next to the river. They have water and electric, and will be getting a dumping station next year (2016). Sites are spacious, with concrete ... more

“Good place if you need to be in Portland CT”

We stayed here eight nights while visiting family and friends in the area. The campground is on the backside of a marina. You would never know it was here unless you drive through the marina. Most of the sites have concrete pads, nice grass, water and electric. The catch is there is no dump station anywhere. They told me there was ... more
