We have been coming here for over 10 years. Except for the price of $20 for no facilities except for a small building with 2 flush toilets and 3 water spigots in the campground, the place is great if you can dry camp. No dump station either. What we like: Level sites, FCFS, we have never seen the place full, easy in, easy out. The small airport is quiet, though sometimes there are a group of paragliders (powered parachutes) that come in and make the airport noisy. However watching them fly around is interesting. The campsites are open and pretty well separated, great view of the sky and hills. Compared to the busy and cramped RV Parks this place is great if you dry camp.

Google got us lost but once we found it, it was easy to park and pay. Self check in drop money in box. Very little road noise can be heard from the highway, it was a perfect spot for us and only $20 vs 60-70$ of everything else out here.

But we have space between rigs, it is easily maneuvered in a big rig, and the gravel pad was easy to reach level.
We highly recommend Werner’s Beef and Brew if you wander into to town.
The air museum is fun and where else can you camp by dirigible hangers rich with WWII history.
This place is not for most travelers but it is perfect for boondocking.

Camping fee is now $20, pretty pricey for no hookups. However if you can do w/o hookups for a few days or more it is a lot cheaper than the RV Parks in the area (which are probably full anyways). We stayed here back in July of 2021 and it was fantastic. It was sunny 90% of the time we were here and warm! The beach is only about 15-20 minutes away and went to Cape Lookout multiple times to skimboard. The AT&T was great as we are full timers who work from the road. The AT&T was great as we are full timers who work from the road.
The only complaint I would have would be the $15 per night for no hookups but its the cheapest in the area so I cant really complain.

If you are into basics and not looking for a campground that has "resort" embedded in the name, this place might be for you. If you are looking to stretch your dollars this place might be for you. This campground is not going to suit everyone's fancy, but it certainly did mine.
For $15/ night you get a designated site that you get to pick from the ones available. You get a graveled site that is level with plenty of space between you and your neighbors. You get water fill stations and clean bathrooms with flush toilets.
No dump station. A dumpster is available for your trash.
By my count there are 30 RV sites and a section for tent camping.
You are camping right beside a sleepy little airport that has a few small aircraft leaving and arriving. Fun to watch!
The highway noise from U.S. Hwy 101 can be heard off in the distance. The highway is 2/10 of a mile away. Noise not bothersome.
This is heaven for campers that are looking for maximum sun for their solar panels. Not many sites have any shade, but the weather is perfect for full sun.
A camp host is on site.
When you arrive pick out a site then proceed to the RV Office building near the airport gate. There are envelopes there to put your cash in. Have exact change. Cash only. No checks.
Note: Tillamook Creamy buys 1.6 million gallons of milk DAILY from the local farmers. You might get a whiff of that milk being made, if you catch my drift.
Be sure to check out the Air Museum before you leave.

It is next to a small plane airport and the air museum. The turn from highway 101 is easy to miss and is slightly hidden by roadway brush. Not a bad place to stay when the forest and beach sites are full or when passing through.
