There's sufficient parking for up to 7 average-sized cars if you don't mind parking each other in, and bollards to prevent you from driving your car right into the site.
You could access this site with just about any vehicle but I wouldn't drive a sports car up here with the potholes.
The site exists right at an intersection so you will see some headlights coming toward you after dark as cars approach.
There is a typical wooden picnic table and 30" or so fire ring with adjustable-height steel grilling grate.
There exists sufficient flat and clear ground to pitch multiple tents. We put up 4 tents of various sizes ranging from a 1-man to a 6-man.
A bit further down the road from the site, they had cleared a large swath of trees, and the wood there was free for the taking if you have the energy and means to gather it and cut it.
We camped in January and with the leaves cleared, you can see to the next ridge. Nice view. The view would be more obscured in the summer, but you would also get plenty of shade.
Only stayed one night, but this would be a nice spot for a weekend to just enjoy nature. Short drive to civilization, Port Clinton/Hamburg. The Cabela's is only a few miles away if you forgot any camping supplies or something breaks during your trip.

The site itself does not have any views but it is large and has no neighboring campsites. We saw about 10 cars a day going by, a couple of them were loud trucks flying through, but no one bothered us. The site has a picnic table and fireplace.
Laundry, shopping, and restaurants can all be found in Hamburg.
Getting a permit was easy, just follow the instructions on Campendium. The permit office keeps strange hours though so do it ahead of time if you can.

we have camped at site P3 about 6 times over the past few year. it is large, clean and easy to get to. there are lots of trails to hike. it’s always about 10 degrees cooler up on the mountain which is a huge bonus in the summer. it is a little louder than other state forests that i’ve camped in. no people noise, but car/truck noise. it’s not far back off the road and the people driving past go very fast (even though there’s is a stop sign). even with this, the site is very nice and the little town of Port Clinton is so cute.
