Arrived in the evening in mid June, camp was never full and was quiet. 2 easy miles down a gravel road off of Hwy 14. Great access to local forest roads and the medicine wheel.

We thougt??????
We asked someone and he told us: the host has gone for some days and therefore he marked all sites as reserved. Why??? We wil pay, we will stay!
We were not happy!!! The campground looked great!
But we did not have courage enough to overnight at a ‘reserved’ place.

...and the Medicine Wheel is incredible. I saw several pika and a least weasel!
There was a bit of noise from logging trucks in the morning but not a big deal. There’s also a nearby lodge with food, WiFi, etc.

We loved having the opportunity to explore this area for a few days. Porcupine campground is near the summit area whether you come from Lovell or Dayton on Highway 14. Highway 14 has very steep grades.
The campground is awesome. Our site (3) was tucked in the trees which offered us some shade and protection from the wind. Other sites have beautiful views but are more exposed. Come prepared with any required amenities, you are truly in the wild out here.
We had reserved our spot, but there were multiple sites available while we were there. Medicine Wheel is a must see if visiting in the area. There are infinite other hiking options as well, including the nearby BigHorn Canyon.
I plan to return for a week next time. Low-key, quiet, and beautiful.
