Point Campground is a small campground between the shores of Elk Lake and the Cascade Lakes highway. It can be tough to find, and reserve, a spot here but we decided it was time to give it a try and mid-week in late September was our time to make it happen.
The location is beautiful with views of a lake, South Sister Mountain and My Bachelor. Our site had plenty of room and great views.
Cell service is pretty darn good with 3 to 4 bars of Verizon data while I was doing some work on the computer.
Great spot but it can be busy here. The access is a bit tight at the start as the garbage dumpsters narrow down the access road, but continue on through and there is a good place to turn around in the day use boat ramp area (as long as it is not a busy weekend at the lake - which is common).
Forest River Rover would stay here again

The access is a dead-end road that slopes down to a day use boat launch. I highly recommend walking in to check things out before driving in unless you enjoy backing up the hill. Sites are small but most have wonderful views across the lake to Mt Bachelor. Pit toilet, no water, but usable Verizon connectivity. The Cascades Lakes loop is well worth the drive!
