Is there local bus service from the campground to DC Metro?

No. This park is located in pretty rural part of Fairfax County and the closest bus stop would be 3-4 miles away.

I have no idea. I know that the campground is about 10 minutes from the metro, and the parking lot is big and seemed quite secure to us. We used it numerous times ....I believe the parking is free. Be aware that the campground is in Virginia, not DC.
