Overall Rating
Campers are disrespectful of other campers. Quiet during the day. Couldn't sleep at night for other campers playing loud music, yelling, cursing, partying, dogs barking, and traffic in and out all hours of the night. The area needs patrolled. A noise curfew needs enforced. Worst weekend I've had camping.

We came in very late. Only issue is when you drive in past the small building you pay at.. DO NOT GO STRAIGHT. The campsites were to the left and right. We came in very late. Only issue is when you drive in past the small building you pay at.. DO NOT GO STRAIGHT. The campsites were to the left and right. We had to back up a hill with our camper on pitch black when we got to a gate that said that part of the campground was closed. Once we dis that it was easy to find a comfortable, level site. Has fire ring and picnic table. Walked around next day and saw a mountain lion. This is way off the main Hwy.

The campsites are riddled with poison ivy. The ash trees are standing dead and anyone camping here until they are removed is in mortal danger. There is zero rule enforcement. The campsites are riddled with poison ivy. The ash trees are standing dead and anyone camping here until they are removed is in mortal danger. There is zero rule enforcement. The toilets have been vandalized. Fire rings have been stolen. Lantern poles have been burned or otherwise destroyed. Water pumps are not operable (no water source on this ridge). Campsite number signs have been vandalized. The place is littered with actual trash and it seems like nobody cares about the place.

Nice clean campsites. Close to Tygart Lake. Parking spots seemed pretty level and we easily got in and out with a 24' class C. Not a great place for big/long rigs though. We rated the cleanliness only 4/5 because the pit toilets were pretty rough (even for a pit toilet). Parts of the campground close earlier in the year. Overall, this ... more
Nice clean campsites. Close to Tygart Lake. Parking spots seemed pretty level and we easily got in and out with a 24' class C. Not a great place for big/long rigs though. We rated the cleanliness only 4/5 because the pit toilets were pretty rough (even for a pit toilet). Parts of the campground close earlier in the year. Overall, this was a nice spot for the price. Campground uses a Dropbox method, so you'll need cash to pay for your stay.
