Pleasant Creek Campground is easily accessible from highway 380. Fresh water and dump station located right at the entrance. All paved roads into the park. There is plenty of access for boats and lots of jetties and docks to fish off of! We payed $22 a night for an electric only pull through site. We brought our dog as well which they allow as long as they are on a leash at all times. There is, however, a dog training and trial area for bird dogs to run. They also have a lake beach ,which they monitor often to report water quality. The showers and restrooms were very clean! Using the shower, however, i noticed that the water that comes out just stinks. Literally. The water itself had a musty almost rotten smell to it, which made my hair stink for a couple days after. A few of the campsites are close quarters, in our opinion. But we have stayed at places that were closer quarters as well. There were so many well maintained mainly grass trails to hike around the whole park. A lot of them duel as equestrian trails as well, so be aware of horse poo. Within those trails are loads of different types of prairie grass and flowers that attract all kinds of birds, for you bird lovers. They also have these cute porch-type swings all around the lake that are really beautiful to watch the sunset/rise. We are rating it as a four because we have been to better, but also have been to worse. It's a good weekend stay!

The August 2020 derecho took down a lot of the trees, but some still stand,
