I prefer privacy and was able to secure the secluded site on left up the hill from the lake. Down by the lake is a big open area. Very quiet the Sunday night in early May I was there.

There is a picnic area at the top of the road where I could have unhitched my trailer and checked out this area before going down. Hindsight... I probably would not have taken my 32' trailer down here, but we made it down and back up with just a little trouble on one sloping section. The area is used primarily by day use swimmers, boats and some fishing folks, but was relatively quiet the 3 days I was there. Pretty awesome camping spot right on the water. I would not recommend if there has been, or will be heavy rain in the area.
Some trash on the ground, but not too bad (we did a little pickup) and there is a dumpster at the site. There is a put toilet and a crew comes down regularly to clean.

Stayed June 22. Perfect weather. 74 , no clouds, light breeze. Go if you can.
Sprint/T-Mobile 2 bars/123db but 89db boosted.
Some garbage/rubbish in sites and burnt garbage in fire rings. Shame. There is a dumpster conveniently right in the middle of area.

Also has a boat ramp.
