“Parking Lot but Great View”

Reviewed Jan 23, 2016

Overall Rating

As others have said this is just a parking lot but the views are quite great. Tucked into the hillside it offers some great sunsets and sunrises. We only were here for one night but certainly great for a quick trip up to Carlsbad Caverns National Park.

Verizon was good outside but inside the RV a booster would certainly help.

I think I would prefer to come here with either a really cool back country van, or on foot and tent for days, or maybe if I had a hor... more

“For a Parking Lot.. It's Marvelous”

Reviewed Mar 28, 2015

Overall Rating

First of all.. yes.. this campground is essentially just a parking lot. But a parking lot at the base of the spectacular Guadalupe Mountains. There are trailheads right in the RV campground, making exploring the park very easy without needing to drive. We loved that. There's a $5pp hiking fee for a 7-day permit (or your national pa... more
