We stayed on both sides of the campground and really preferred the sites on the first come first serve side. The reservable side has direct access to the creek that sounds & looks like a meditation video. The hosts at this campground were incredible & we’re SO helpful when we had issues with our truck. We have a 22’ camper and would fit in probably about 2/3 of the sites. No dump close by, you have to go up the switchbacks to Flagstaff or down to Cottonwood or Camp Verde unfortunately. The road is a little annoying, but we got used to it after the first night. Showers down the street at Cave Springs campground-$6 for 8 minutes 😳
Overall, perfect place to stay when exploring Sedona if you don’t want to pay a ton of money for an RV park or boondock.

It's not a 'deep in the wilderness and get away' campground. But it's really awesome campground if you're doing activities toward the cities. The commute is hard to beat.
Recreation.gov gives you a guide for the max. length for each site and it's generally accurate.

- Sites are small, but this is fine for us. A dude with an Airstream damaged his rig by hitting a rock.
- Be careful when turning into or out of this campground. People drive really fast on 89A.
- Close to Slide Rock SP.

About 50 feet down a steep hill to small stream which was beautiful. Beware of flash floods during monsoon season. Steller’s Jays in trees. Skunk walked through site one night. Fire pit, cement table, and level site overall. Also had tent and popup with plenty of room. About 75 feet to nearest campers. Bathrooms fairly nice - pit type. Drinkable water at each via faucet - no hose connection to fill water. No dump station. Wood and Ice for sale by hosts. We brought own wood and had nice fires each night in firepit - iron ringed with grate. Also nice metal BBQ grill at each site. (Didn’t use)
Worst part is near constant traffic on road nearby. Some sites are very close to road, but even ours being one of the farthest, traffic noise was not low. Probably due to small canyon you are in.
We Hiked West Fork of Oak Creek trail - beautiful! 8 miles/four hours; fairly flat and mostly shade. Temps great. Pups loved it. $8 fee to park. Highly recommend this hike. Fairly busy though.
Biggest cons: traffic, no dump station, moderately close to other campsites.
Pros: near stream, level, beautiful site with birds in trees.

As an aside, Sedona was breathtaking, but the area is heavily commercialized. For someone looking for a tourist experience with tour guides and lots of people, Sedona would be perfect. We unfortunately were hoping to get away from crowds and more peace and quiet.
Please understand my low rating is based on my situation and biases. The scenery is exceptional and would no doubt work well for others.
