Pine Bar Recreation Site

As other reviewers noted, site 6 is the place to be. One through five are all huddled close to each other. Not that you have much choice as everything is first come first serve, but it is a local favorite so if you need a weekend, try to arrive on a Thursday.

Someone reported some Verizon service I had absolutely none.

And the Google map link from Campendium left me about 10 mi short. Keep going down Graves Creek Road it will veer off to the left towards Pine Bar Recreation Area. The road says dead end but it dead ends at the campground so don't worry.

It's a 10 mile drive out to Verizon service.

Water via a hand pump, clean vault toilets, no dump site or trash service.

Pine bar exceeded our expectation. The drive through a couple ranches was scenic, following the Salmon river. The first set of signs you come to us for fishing only. Keep going and you’ll eventually see the sign for Pine Bar campground. The restrooms were great and our spot was amazing. We overlooked the Salmon river rapids. With a little hike down, we found a sandy beach peninsula. Our kids has a great time running and digging in the sand. We enjoyed the sound of the rushing water as we slept.

This site is fantastic!!! Road to get into site is paved and very well maintained. Looks like there were 6 sites total. Site #6 is the gem if you are lucky enough to get it. There are loop driveways to easily get your trailer/rv back out of your space when you’re leaving. The river was fantastic. Small little sandy beaches. Cost was $7 per night, soooooo worth it.
