Many of the sites are within 20 feet of the lake. All the sites near us had at least one boat along with kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. Some have very steep access to the site and our site had the elect and water about 6 feet above the level site which was a real climb

Nice campground! Huge sites with fire pit, picnic table, grill, water, electric, and room for several vehicles. Got a spot right on the lake. Beautiful!! And quiet!

While there's not a whole lot to do in the immediate area, there is a grocery store within 15 minutes, and Augusta is just 30 minutes away. We checked out Wildwood Park and enjoyed some jet skiing, kayaking, and disc golf there. Easy access to the Baldwin Trail for hiking.
AT&T worked great for us during the week for work, but of course the towers got a little bogged down on LDW.
Bathrooms were clean, but could stand to use a few more hooks to hang things. Also it was an awkward set up as there was no divider between the two shower stalls. If someone else was showering at the same time I would have been uncomfortable. Lastly, the motion sensors are out in the main area of the bathroom so the lights did go out in the middle of my shower...so maybe don't shower at night. :)
Overall, we loved this park and the sunsets were fantastic. We will definitely be back!

I would definitely stay here again but site 84,85,86 would be easy to get into but not as nice a lake view.

I’m in a small RV so I can’t comment on access but indeed some of the driveways are steep to get to the actual site.

Huge campground with several loops that can accommodate all size rigs. Some sites could be unlevel and squishy if it has rained recently, and some that are pull-thrus would be better accessed as back-ins from one side or the other due to driveway slope, as was ours in #8. It was too cold for water activities during our stay, but the water looked great for the swimming beaches and boating. The Bartram Trail transects the park and offers miles and miles of hiking or mountain biking. Just walking all the camp loops also provides miles of exercise. The showers nearest our sites had plenty of nice hot water. The laundry was free at the time of our stay due to Covid, and the machines worked well. Even with the trees, we got plenty of OATV.
Critters spotted = alligators in the retention pond (according to the hosts, at least 3 live there, we can confirm two), beavers in the lake, black snake, lots of birds (Canada geese, loons, grebes, cardinals, tufted titmouse, woodpeckers, brown thrashers, great blue herons, kingfishers)

Great spot for young family of four and puppy, smooth roads for biking, longboarding and strollers. Beach was pleasant, sites ~35-45 were best placed with consistent breeze. Site 88 was cozy and private, but the gravel entry road needs some love. Absolutely coming back.

Some sites take a bit of work to get your equipment level, but not seen anything serious. Also marked down rating for noise as boats are constantly running around - but if that’s the only problem , I can live with it.

The only reason it got a one was because that’s as low as it goes. The campground, site, swimming, play area, bathrooms was excellent. OUR PROBLEM STARTED AT CHECK IN. We arrived on June 4th to spend a week. The couple that works there was rude. We got to our site, we are senior citizens and it takes us about 2 hours to fully set up. We noticed the grill was rusted out, my husband went to report this and was told there was nothing they could do. Offered to move us. Not a option another 4 hours to take down and put up. Plus our children were staying 2 sites down. The lady was very rude. One of the amenities provided is a grill. They had no backup plan. The next morning on our way out, my niece asked about the grill, the lady, hollered at us, slammed and locked the window, and pulled the shade. We had to blow the horn , and the man was rude. While I was gone the Park Ranger and the maintenance team was able to fix our grill. A big shout out to the Core of Engineers for the help. Excellent people. On Tuesday there is no one at the gate, it’s closed. My grandson and family came of the day, the couple drive up and start harassing them as to why they don’t have a pass showing, Can’t get the pass if no one is working. These people have absolutely no customer service, I could understand a bad day, but this is the third time camping that we have had problems. Tip: Make some staff changes. My 1st review and last because we won’t go back.
