This place is more of a hostel than a campground, but the owner (a very laid back guy who is difficult to pay, because he always wants to deal with it later and is rarely around) is fine with campers finding a spot to tuck between the bathrooms and the pool or a couple of the rooms.

It's bound to be full of surfers and stoners and the like, coming to Baja like so many other travelers to catch waves and not wear shirts and call you "bra" or ask you questions like, "any idea what the rip is slinging?" or "man, I'm skin deep in gnarled left pulls," whatever those things mean.

The showers are hot, but I found them a bit to small to get my surfboard into. The toilet flushes, but not everyone chooses to opt into that feature.

An outdoor kitchen plays home to a myriad of ants, who've come to hang ten with said surfers and devour whatever bear-shaped bottles of honey you might leave lying around. A pool is particularly clean, and has a bar attached to it so that you could sit in the water while someone (not a bartender, your wife I guess?) served you margaritas or Pacificos or whatever you can get your hands on down here in old Mexico.

The local gentleman who takes care of the place is a bit cranky, so speak perfect English or don't speak at all is my best advice. I am, after all, on the advisory board of all things reviewing stuff about camping on the web.

There's a great little hot dog stand around the corner where a Spanish-only speaking woman who is lovelier than a tall glass of lemonade on a hot summer day will make you bacon wrapped hot dogs with todos fixins' like you wouldn't believe...even the buns are better in Baja!

Aside from that, take a stroll down the busy main road to Baja Beans for a hip coffee experience like you might expect in Todos, or
