Persimmon Creek Campground

Small campground in a scenic area. The site we had (5) was FHU, a little closer to the adjacent sites than we'd like, but since the neighbors weren't there during our stay it wasn't a big deal. We didn't use the shower, but it was clean. Bathroom clean as well. They sold firewood on site. In late October, it wasn't very crowded, maybe 50% occupied so very quiet & enjoyable.

We'd return if back in the area. Great base camp for western NC/ eastern TN. Took a few scenic drives & hikes. Also, Murphy is about 10-15 minutes away for gas, groceries, restaurants, & general shopping. Cell service was spotty at times, but the campground does have wifi.

Great little campground laid out in a bit circle with a pond/grassy area/pavilion in the middle. The kids played in the creek, and also joined in a soccer game on the field. Sites were spacious. All the grass was mowed and healthy. We stayed by the creek and had water and electric. There is some road noise of the highway, though it didn't bother us.
