“Nice, simple no frills campground ”

Camped here for three nights in mid August and only eight sites were occupied when the state parks nearby were full. Loved the quiet solitude at the back of this campground along with the lake view. The first sites are near the county highway so it can get a bit loud at times. Good fishing lake from what a neighbor told us. Road in the campground is a bit rough. Hosts keep the bathrooms, fire pits and general area very clean.

“No-frills quiet spot in the forest”

I was the only one camping here on an early October weekday. All sites are first-come first-served, no reservations, $15 plus Recreation Passport daily or annual fee. Vault toilets. Only cars/SUVs/trucks and small trailers could handle this. Large RVs no way. Many sites would be impossible or very difficult to level in an RV. I had a tiny sliver of Sprint service, but no T-Mobile or Verizon service.
