Peninsula (Olallie) Campground

Olallie Lake sits at 4,500 ft. elevation in the Mt. Hood National Forest at the base of beautiful Mt. Jefferson. We found it to be a hidden peaceful gem - bumpy gravel roads to get there make for no crowds and a nice isolated camping experience. Here you can fish for trout, and hike miles of trails including the 3.9 mi lakeshore loop. There is no phone service, no Wi-Fi, no grocery store, no gas station.....there is pure uninterrupted beauty and adventure. Our site was #26 and sat above the lake with our own little trail down to the shore. Someone had built a nice little pool in the lake - perfection!
