We stayed here in 2017 so knew the routine and contacted the ranger 2 weeks in advance. The gate has a combination code lock.
There was one other van there.
There is a water pipe coming out from a spring.
Two hikes you can walk to, one on the same side of the road across from the blue hole and one across the bridge on the opposite side. That one is a steep climb, 1000 ft in a mile but we did get cell service at the top.
Saw people fishing in the stream, the water was icy cold.
I’m sure in summer this place is busy but there is limited parking and the Blue Hole will not be overrun.
The season started May 15 and they were placing port a potties at the parking areas. Only one trash dumpster located at the Blue Hole.
Tent camping is allowed south of the RV field.
Not every site has a picnic table.
Outdoor Girl would stay here again

Was planning on going here tomorrow, but the website says its a fee area for camping and day use. Reserved a proper campsite for 3 days for only 15 bucks though. Will try to update later, but beware. Hope all NY state don't do this too me -- 5 a night ain't bad, but I can't afford it all the time.
ADDENDUM: The trailer field, which is at the coordinates listed above, has to be reserved 2 weeks in advance. The sites just down the road where I stayed are walk-in, which explains why they were so cheap. Most are decent sites, but a couple are just awful, so good luck with that. And they are all next to a two-lane road that gets enough traffic to kinda take away from the experience a bit, but it's not unbearable. Parking cannot accommodate large campers, fyi. And there is also a walmart about half an hour away in Napanoch that might be a decent overnight spot.
Seven-11 would stay here again
