“Beautiful lake side park (some sites better than others)”

Reviewed Oct 09, 2018

Overall Rating

We liked this park enough that we extended our stay (and changed our next park plan). This is a beautiful lake side park with FHU, and the site we ended up using was level including concrete pad and good spacing. We had originally reserved site 11 (63' back-in) in the first loop, but as soon as we saw the site, we pulled by to sort o... more

“Nice for big rig”

Reviewed Jul 11, 2018

Overall Rating

One night stay beautiful state park. Paved roads cement pads some pull throughs. Our site large level. Some trees (blocked sattilite). Local and PBS by air. Beautiful view of lake. Playground near office long trek from site 110. Easy backin. We stayed in a 45 ft 4 slides

Beware GPS took us in back entrance look for main entrance.

“A beautiful, well maintained State Park”

Reviewed Jun 16, 2018

Overall Rating

I am glad Earl and I stayed at Paul B. Johnson State Park. Near Hattiesburg, MS, this is a large (800 acre), very well maintained State Park on Geiger Lake. There are 125 RV campsites located on an area the overlooking the Lake. If you have time, there is a roped off area for swimming and opportunities for boating and fishing on t... more

“Beautiful, peaceful, well-maintained”

Reviewed Apr 19, 2018

Overall Rating

We stayed here four nights in our 24' Class C motorhome. We selected site #75 because, although it isn't lakeside, it has a clear view of the lake with no obstruction across the road. The park as a whole is beautiful with a large lake and well-maintained facilities. The weekend we were there, they were hosting a big disc-golf tournamen... more

“Beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. ”

Reviewed Mar 24, 2018

Overall Rating

A lot of unexpected amenities at the office like pool tables and arcade games. There were a lot of squirrels, Muscovy ducks, and turtles. We even saw the resident Bald Eagle several times circling the lake. We never saw the resident gator, Lola, but were assured she was around. 🤔 Most sites have a great view of the water although some ... more

“Nice campground with a splash park and beautiful lake.”

Reviewed May 14, 2017

Overall Rating

This campground was nice because it was so quiet. There were ducks swimming around in the lake. There was a cool walking bridge to a small island. The restrooms were adequate. It was nice to be amongst the trees.
