Check in wasn’t easy. Filling up with water was easy with the dedicated water filling stations (or just duck into a vacant site). Water was located within a reasonable distance to site. Two distinct types of sites. Field camping and woods camping. We choose the wooded side and it was very nice. Bath hoses were clean and the lake/beach was a nice treat for the kids. Will stay again, but with better water Tote planning!

Stayed two nights in the Fisherman’s Campground, which is ideal for smaller rigs that don’t need hookups or shower facilities. There’s an even larger Modern Campground if you need the extras. Fisherman’s is $12.84/night, not including the nine bucks you pay for park entry. Potable water is plentiful, staff is very friendly and helpful. Not many sites are truly level and during peak season, it might feel crowded, but I basically had the place to myself and enjoyed it. There’s a nature center and several trails within walking distance.

The beach was closed.

The park is very quiet, but on the second night, some party on the property adjacent to the park was blaring Matchbox 20 late into the evening. 🤷🏻‍♀️
