We had the best spot -A10. Lake side, shaded and quiet. Enjoyed the stay even if very hot. The lake was great to swim in. Our rig is 13’6” and it was a bit tight height wise but all good. Site needs a bit of tlc however it is still very much to enjoy. It was flooded in several areas while we were there.

I stayed in a "standard non-electric" site in the B loop. I had plenty of shade and a nice breeze off the lake.
Other reviews indicated that this was the quieter side of the lake and that proved to be so. The camp sites filled in on the weekend and the boat traffic picked up on the lake, but never became bothersome.

We often look for a Corps of Engineers campground when we are traveling and we chose this campground because of is location north of Paris, Texas. The campground could use some work but overall it was not a bad place to stay.
I had made reservations for a waterfront site with water and electric hookups in the C loop. The reserved site in the C loop was not level and there was not water at the site. The water spigot was shared with the adjacent site and our hose was not long enough to reach it. Most of the sites in that loop shared a water spigot.
We found a large pull through with water and electric hookups in the A loop. It was not waterfront and we had to do some maneuvering to get in and out but overall it was ok. We returned to the office to get a new parking pass and we were good to go. We had a nice view of the boat ramp and fishing pier. The bathhouse was a short distance from the site but I did not use it so can't comment on that.
All of the sites have paved pads but most of the pavement was cracked and not level. The grass was pretty tall around our site and there was trash in the site.
Overall the campground was ok for a short stay but not as nice as most of the other COE parks we have seen.
wanderingdawgs would stay here again
