Pass Creek Narrows Camping Area

There were a number of sites along the road with picnic tables and fire rings. The one we found was beside the road, with the creek on the other side of the road. It was far enough away from the road that we weren't bothered by the dust kicked up by passing vehicles. There were plenty of trees to keep our tent cool mid-day. In the morning, the sun shone on the site from 8:00 am until we went out for the day. Nice, when the temperature was 40F during the night.

The water was clear enough to use after boiling for washing dishes.

There weren't any mosquitos, which surprised us.

The road in is in excellent condition, as it appears to be a major backcountry connector to another paved highway. This does mean there's quite a bit of traffic during daylight hours.

Our site was a good distance from the pit toilet, so we used our vehicle to go to it. That's the main disadvantage of this camping location.

You do have to carry all your garbage out.

Quiet low traffic dispersed sites along USFS road through a scenic canyon. Some sites are right next to Pass Creek. Great place to launch trips through both Big Lost River and Little Lost River areas. No cell access. Some fire rings.
