Parker RV Campground

[3 stars. 2 bars]. Stayed here two nights 7/5–7/2022. Located alongside SD-44 at edge of town between West Fork Vermillion River bridge and Benny Motors on north side of highway. Sites 1–4 are $20/night, full hookup (1 has short, steep rise at access point; 2 & 4 are best for long rigs, 3 is only pull-through for <40' RV); sites 5–7 are 20A/30A/50A electric only (each slope significantly from front to back and each are big rig friendly) and are $15/night. Sites 5 & 6 share a 40"-square picnic table at the pedestal, others have standard picnic table. Sites 2 & 4 have fire rings/grills. There is a roomy single toilet/shower house with concrete floor. Do call for reservation. Sites tend to fill up Thursday/Friday and Sunday. 40 minutes / 36 miles northeast to Falls Park, Sioux Falls, SD.

Convenient spot, if passing through this part of South Dakota. Right on the road, easy access. Called to reserve a spot. Paid on the honor system when arrived. Bath house floor tiles had been removed, presumably for replacement. Not a glam camping spot, but it worked and the price was reasonable. $15 for full hook-up, shower with lots of hot water, grassy lawn. Some road traffic noise but not bad overnight. Only one other camper here. Small grocery and gas station nearby...not much else.

This was a great place to stop while traveling through. I love little town campgrounds like this because they usually aren't too busy and are reasonably priced. This Campground was a great value at $10 per night for electric (30&50amp) and 15 for full hookups. There was a clean bath house with shower on-site as well. There's a fair amount of road noise, but it got fairly quiet at night. The lot was also well-lit for security. It's right next to the city shop, but there wasn't a lot of activity going on there while we stayed. I would definitely return!
