We came here with intentions to hike in the area however, we were able to get a cancellation for a site on the river (54) and instead, just hung out here in the hammock for three days.
The campground is somewhat tight. We were in our truck camper so had no issues however we thought we would also be comfortable pulling our 30' trailer here if we came again. Some turns are tight and do not attempt to pull a longer trailer to sites 55, 56, or 57. There is a nearly 90 degree turn around a tree...definitely a no-go with a trailer.
Most sites are fairly private. Nothing is really good for solid solar. We'd always prefer to get a riverside site if we came here again which looked fairly possible if you want to book a last minute weekday. At our site, Verizon was slow during the day (ok for internet searching/email/FB) unboosted but at night we were able to stream Netflix. The Verizon coverage seemed to vary widely throughout the park.
There are trailheads to the McKenzie trail right from the campground. You can also book rafting trips that leave from the campground as well!
One of our favorite parks in our 2 years of travel!

A nice trail with a little bit of elevation gain, easy-to-moderate, and a day use area with amphitheater, picnic tables, and boat launch round out Paradise's amenities. I'd definitely camp here again!

We make an annual trek to enjoy the McKenzie Trail (epic mountain biking along the river). We love this campground as the roaring river drowns out ALL noise from any neighbors. They could be having an epic bachelor party next door and you wouldn't hear anything but the bubbling water!
Very shady, no hookups, clean outhouses and some tricky parking. Size limits exist for a reason as there are some tricky turns and parking spots. Limited cell service - so a great time to unplug. No connection on Sprint and very limited on Verizon.
The McKenzie Trail goes right through the campground for easy access walking or biking. Enjoy a day of biking and then sit by the river and watch the rafters floating by. Putin/takeouts are at the campground as well.
On a particular hot weekend we went up to Belknap Hot Springs (next RV park up the river) and got on a rafting trip for the afternoon. A great way to cool off.
Do reserve if you can ahead of time for the river sites - beautiful!

We stayed here in mid July, 2014. It was a huge, very private site that backs to the river (can't see the river from the rv) where we get to watch rafts and kayaks go by. We did reservations for this spot a couple weeks in advance. Many of their first-come first-served sites were open today but the river view sites are reservable and nearly all full. Zero bars of Verizon without the antenna and amplifier but could boost it to 3 bars of slow 4G. None of the sites here would be good for solar panels - lots of shade! Half price with geezer card.
