You could likely skirt by the vehicles but you'd still be dealing with the giant mound and construction traffic. Wait until the NPS road project is done for this one

Both are fairly rough roads.

The road in/out is the trickiest part, it is not maintained & is filled with ruts, so if you have a low-clearance vehicle our advice is to take it slow & be careful getting in/out. There are fairly level spots to camp, others are more…uneven. Great views to the west, north and south with good views to the east. Some minor light pollution to the west from a resort. For the price it’s hard to beat :-).

Seems like many people are confusing this area with the Overflow Spot just 1/2 mile away. This location basically is a driveway to a fence! Maybe if you were camping in your car or a tent you could use this spot but I would not recommend for anything else. Close to the highway and very ruff entry road.

Be aware that there is a big drop from the paved road to the dirt area here, if it is wet you may need 4WD to get out. When leaving visibility to the east on the road is very poor. (I walk my dogs here all the time)
