Palm Springs RV Resort in Palm Desert, California. No nightly fee with our Thousand Trails membership. This turned out to be a pleasant two week stay for us after a rather stressful arrival. As is typical with TT parks, the sites are plenty big but the access roads tend to be too narrow. I would not call this park big rig friendly, but it can certainly be done. Sites are first come first served, no assignments. Location is super convenient to local attractions and amenities. There is some noise from Interstate 10 and and nearby train tracks, but we were in the middle of the park and it wasn’t much of an issue. Laundry room was clean, 1.75 each for washer and dryer. Pool was the perfect temperature and had plenty of lounge chairs. Lots of activities throughout the week. Staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Would stay again.
Best: Lots of activities, friendly staff, great pool area.
Not so great: Tight access roads, lack of enforcement with dog rules.

Some parts of this park are great and some are not.
Pros:
- Really nice pool and hot tub
- Friendly staff
- Lots of activities
- It’s a pretty park
- The weather was warm
- Clean laundry rooms
Cons:
- The pretty palms make it very challenging to park! So expect at least an hour to find a spot and park.
- Theft of bikes and such seem to be an issue. At least 2 families that we know of had things stolen
- Dust/Sand/Wind
- Tight spots with the trees
- Very busy (can be a pro or a con)
- Dog park is very small
- Playground was closed and very small, not sure if they are updating it
Make sure you go slow and have someone spot your back end as you go around corners.

Pros:
* Great community of people, very social park.
* Nice pool area
* Good Cell Service
* Descent Wifi in the Pool area
* Very friendly staff
Cons:
* Dusty
* 50 amp service was tight. Glad we decided to go with a 30 amp pull through instead.
* Not very friendly area for riding your bicycle outside the park
* Some highway and Train Noise but you get used to it. Not bad while in the RV.

If you have a bajillion kids and want to spread their bikes into your neighbor's site and connect with other campers so that they can run in enormous packs all over the park, then this is the place for you. If if you don't like to pick up after your pet, you are in good company here. If these descriptions don't fit you, then may the odds forever be in your favor. The spa is large but the jets don't really work. There is no workout room. On the plus side, it is in Palm Springs so we left a lot. The pool is a nice size and heated. They staff does a good job at texting you each day to inform you of their activities.

Close to Palm Springs and great restaurants
The negative- some people call it sand- I call it dirt. It was EVERYWHERE. Had to clean dogs feet every time they went out. We had an RV mat and it’s a filthy mess. There are stickers everywhere, dogs got burrs stuck in their paws.

This is one of our favorite Thousand Trails parks. It is open seasonally, and closes down in the summer as it doubles as a date farm. The date palms line the rows and give the park a beautiful appearance. The downside of the palms is that it can be a bit tricky to navigate your rig into your space, but we have a 42 foot fifth wheel and have been doing it just fine for years. The sites are in sand/dirt so be sure you bring an outdoor mat or you will be sweeping a lot! We love coming here because the pool area is very nice, the pickle ball courts are good, they always have kids activities in the clubhouse, and everyone seems very welcoming and active in this park. Unfortunately, theft from people sneaking into the park at night has been a problem in the past, so always lock up your bikes! High end bikes seem to be the thing that the thieves like to steal. There are some sites closer to the busy road and you will get more road noise if you park closer to the front of the park. We prefer to drive back further into the park, which almost completely eliminates the road noise. Despite the few negatives, the beautiful setting and all the positives far outweigh the downsides and we love coming here!

Pit bull on long chain lunging full speed at walkers at night, only to get yanked at the last second by the chain that you can’t see… total heart attack. One guest set up a professional grade PA system and sang karaoke… if there are rules they are not enforced. Entrance is easily missed. The trees are nice but can make it difficult for all but moderate to small rigs. But again, they are really nice to see. Location is convenient to lots of great dining. Occasional waft of really bad sewer air. Some noise from trains and traffic but not bad if you are parked to the East and north. Staff was very helpful upon arrival.

the currently are NOT doing LP tank refills. 12-2020. not sure when that will restart.
The back in sites are to the right of the center when you check in and pull through to the left.
there are some sites closed #26 -#31 I believe due to palm that need to be removed with caution tape on them.. 12-2020
the further back in the park the better for reduced traffic noise,, the trains run the time but do not honk horns.. but you can hear then especially during the day and evening.
pickleball courts upfront get players most morning around 8:30 am any skill level welcome.
Costco close by with gas only,, no diesel or LP.
