Five-year old campground, roomiest sites I've ever seen in a private park. Very clean bathrooms. Very nice, friendly staff. You can walk down to the Colorado River. No shade in the RV section of the campground. The driveway and sites are gravel that has been ground into dust so you and your equipment will get dusty. The very green grass at every site is very close to your camper and the sprinklers will water your RV and chairs, pop-ups etc. during overnight irrigation. Wifi worked all the time, slowly, but it did work. AT&T LTE was slow.

pros: nicest campground bathrooms I've ever seen, free showers, nice tent sites right on the colorado river, super nice owners
cons: have to climb a steep hill to the bathrooms from the river front sites (worth it for the view though)

I have to echo others opinions ... they have sprinklers going all night long and they will mess up your tow vehicle and especially an aluminum airstream . Their rates very depending where you stay on the grounds. I paid more for a river view site and no shade . What a waste could not see the river . Stayed there for 3 days and... more
I have to echo others opinions ... they have sprinklers going all night long and they will mess up your tow vehicle and especially an aluminum airstream . Their rates very depending where you stay on the grounds. I paid more for a river view site and no shade . What a waste could not see the river . Stayed there for 3 days and then changed to a center row # 37 so I could use my trailer for a shade spot. Basically a treeless park. The other major thing that always is an outlier for some parks is what they charge for ICE. $4.00 a bag! Drive to town 2 miles away and get 2x as much ice for 1/2 the price.
Rest rooms and showers where nice. Staff was great.
The only reason I would stay here again is the location for things we like to do...hike and explore the area. Grand Junction is close by for any big needs,
There is a nice view of the Mesa and the sunsets can be impressive.
If train noise bothers you(we were ok with them) than don't stay here ( 1/2 dozen day and night).
Good winery's all over the area. If you come in August the peaches are the best.

The facilities are good--laundry, swimming pool, covered patio, and showers/bathrooms. The sites have full hook-ups (20/30/50A, sewer, and water) and in good shape. They run sprinklers twice a day which soaks all outdoors furniture and is a pain. The dog run and garbage is inconvenient for most. The staff were friendly, but not very helpful.

I want to like this park more than I did. It is scenic with views, which I really appreciate and am willing to pay more for. The office staff are very nice and the facilities are nicely kept. Except the laundry was dirty - the table and washers and dryers were gross. The train is close and loud! The sprinklers hit our trailer and truck every night making noise and a mess. We awoke to fresh puddles under our door and truck each day and we have mineral deposits on one side of our rig. We weren’t allowed a small doormat under our steps. I’d stay here again if needed, but for a much shorter duration.

This park is located above the Colorado River on a plateau. Incredibly manicured with full hookups. We stayed here last minute because temps dropped too low at the place we intended to stay. Delightfully surprised to find this awesome RV park and campground. Our kids did their homeschooling down by the river. Great cell signal for those working remotely and a quick drive into the quaint town of Palisade for supplies. The town of Palisade is also great with funky restaurants if that’s your thing. Overall we pinned this place as one we want to return to in the future. The sites in the interior are pretty close together but the views of the surround canyon plateaus on all sides more than made up for it. Great for a couple nights, probably wouldn’t stay for much longer than that though.

There is so much to do in this area & Palisade is great little town. Yes, there is a dispensary right by the resort. We never smelled any marijuana at all during our stay. The resort was quiet & everyone staying there was polite & courteous. Highly recommend Palisade Basecamp!!!
