I was so hoping to stay at the campground because it looked amazing!! sadly it was all full so I stopped here to sleep instead. Just a simple gravel lot with no lights or facilities. Very close to the highway as well so could be noisy depending on traffic. All in all I got a good night of rest there.

Overall Rating
We accidentally ran across the Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge driving north towards Utah. The lake is lovely and the campsites are well marked. Picnic tables and fire pits. Camping is free, but donations are welcome. There is highway noise. Great bird watching!! Nevada should be proud of this one.

Right off highway, so some noise but minimal overnight. Room to park bigger rigs with space in between. Portapot available (didn’t check). Worked well for an overnight.

This is a good rest area if you want to pull off and take a break. There is ample parking and large shade trees. However there are no rest rooms or dump station at this area, just a place to park.
