Arrived about midday on a Monday. Plenty of sites available. Nice views, a bit of highway noise but nothing terrible. Very nice hosts they are not on site. Would comeback.

Pulled into this lovely spot and enjoyed the sound of crickets, frogs and enjoyed a spectacular sunset. A little noisy next to the road but worth it.

CAMPGROUND WAS FULL - DID NOT STAY HERE – BACKUP ACROSS THE STREET
Was a nice campground, would be great to stay here.
We were on our way to Great Basin from Las Vegas and this was essentially the only option. We arrived around 9PM and the Pahranagat National Wildlife campground was full. Another review below mentioned an open space across the street that they used. It took us a minute to find it, but the entrance is DIRECTLY across the street from the Wildlife entrance.
We were the only ones, but you can tell others had been using this place. There were plenty of tracks and fire pits. It felt a little weird being there alone, but this did the trick when there isn’t anything else for miles and miles. See video to get an idea of the layout.

Across the highway from the entrance is a free parking area, apparently a former highway storage site, where we camped with 6 or 8 other rigs who couldn't find a site at the refuge.
My nephew lives in the area, and camped there earlier this year with his family. They were able to get a site, but it was the last one. Apparently it's now full more often than not.

The sites are few but all of them are good. One of the cleanest restrooms at a any campground I’ve ever stayed at. Great place to stop in overnight if you can find a spot. I’d definitely stay here again in the future.

Big rigs, look elsewhere. The place is beautiful but there is perhaps only 1 true "pull through" which is more of a pull off with limited spacing. It will most likely be taken by tenters as this is such an easier place to visit in a small class b, c or TC.
If you end up down this one lane road you are committed to drive the washboard about 2 miles to get to the turn around at the end where the day use area is. It took us an hour to get out of here in total, we should have scouted ahead with the toad.
