Staff is friendly but mainly accessible during office hours. Very convenient location. Overall, a good experience and would visit again. Very convenient having Walmart, fast food, restaurants and Home Depot near by.

Two ways to go but small sign saying "office" not well defined and over looked because main triangular yellow sign said "no outlet" so with motorhome and toad I didn't want to get stuck. After asking a resident we found it. We parked in our spot (obviously overflow for about 10 or 12 rv's really close together. Weeds standing 12" tall with no tables or fire rings. Water below ground so filters don't fit very well. Lots of building construction noise during the day since this park mainly has modular homes. Last day when we left the roads were blocked for tree cutting so had to find detour around and couldn't find a way out without scouting ahead first which we found out after hooking up toad.

Close to shopping, dining, and divided highway access, however lot of traffic to fight, especially morning, night rush hour and weekend. Long term options, including permanent propane hookup. 2 overnight spots for after office hours, next to the office. We've stayed here at least 6 different times, 3 to 6 nights. Good Sam discount accepted.

I love this place!! I can't say enough good about this place!! Close to everything yet very quiet and affordable. There is a $4 a nite discount for Veterans so I paid $36 a night and only had to show my VA card for the discount. They have weekly and monthly rates as well. There is a $4 a nite discount for Veterans so I paid $36 a night and only had to show my VA card for the discount. They have weekly and monthly rates as well. Full hookups, 50 amp - 30amp - 120volt at pedestal, water hookup is at ground level in sunken (6 inch deep) covered outlet with ball type shutoff valve with plenty of pressure and flow, black / grey water hookup is 4 inch threaded connection, all hookups are grouped together in about the middle of the left hand side of your site You can pull in to the gravel open sites from either direction so your hookups can be on either side. There are streets on both ends of of the open gravel site we stayed in which were long enough to accommodate any size rig. My guess is they are about 100 feet or more long. Any size toy hauler will fit no problem and plenty of open room to get in to your site. There are also back in gravel sites as well. Level sites both shaded hard surface (concrete) back in and open (not shaded, no trees) pull thru gravel. I opted for the open area pull through sites because my RV is 13ft 5 inches tall. After going there for the first time I could see they have things setup where any size or type RV can fit into any of their sites. Very wide and easy to navigate streets with speed bumps. The speed bumps are easy to cross and not rough on your RV. No potholes anywhere. Streets and sites are very well maintained. Verizon Jetpack download speeds over 35mbs, upload speed over 20mbs, Verizon Iphone 4 to 5 bars. I work from my 5th wheel sometimes to run and manage my business remotely and connectivity with Verizon was superb with blazing fast speeds. Which is very important to me. I will absolutely stay there anytime I'm in the Springfield Missouri area. This trip I was there for minor outpatient surgery at Mercy Hospital. The park is within 10 to 12 minutes of either Mercy Hospital complex or Cox Hospital complex and clinics. Both are major medical centers for the Ozarks region.

There are not many camping options in or around Springfield, MO. I believe the only other option in the area is a KOA. Since we make it a point to avoid KOAs (always overpriced and filled with screaming kids), Ozark Highlands was our choice when visiting friends in the area. It is basically a mobile home park with an open section in the back where 10 or so RV sites are lined up in a parking lot. For $40/ night you get a little strip of grass and full hook-ups. It was not scenic and definitely overpriced, but it was clean, relatively quiet, and convenient to anywhere you want to visit in Springfield.
* Important note: the office is not open on the weekends and you can't just come in, pick a spot and pay on Monday. So if you plan to arrive on the weekend be sure to call ahead of time!

Verizon had the fastest speeds with AT&T a very usable second option. T-Mobile worked but was not reliable.

Short term parking is a gravel lot that's close parking to other spaces. Long term parking is mixed in with the mobile home lots, some have concrete pads, some don't. When you enter the park, go left to get to the park office. Walmart and fast food right next to the park. No open fire rings, BBQs are allowed.
