We found the area to be a bit confusing, but once we found this campground we loved it. The problem is that there are several sections to the recreation area. “Excellent campground”

Overall Rating

Our rate reflects 50% off. We loved this campground, even if it was just a dirt parking lot. We stayed on the Oxbow lake side, as opposed to the Colorado River side. The sites aren't really designated, we just pulled up where we wanted. Our spot backed right up to the water. We were able to paddle the lake and ride the gravel roads... more

“We only had one night, but wanted more. ”

We were passing through and only stayed one night. I used to recreate here in the 90's and it was nice to revisit old stomping grounds. Things have changed, it's more developed and used to be free.
