The campground is in very good shape and appears well maintained. Lots of room between the campsites. Electric Only. Verizon Cell service was solid and able to stream TV and do a business call without issue. The rail trail is top notch. Excellent fishing too!

“Simple, Nice Place. Just Don’t Stay On A Holiday Weekend In A Tent.”

We stay here often because we like to bike the trails and swim in the lake. However, on holiday weekends, the neighboring private campground residents can get really loud past the “quiet hours” of this campground. Stay away from the spots along the far side: 030,032,033,035,044,046,048,050.

This is located at Confluence, PA, very short walk to a "Rails to Trails" multi-use path that runs over 100 miles. I had good AT&T and Verizon coverage.

Stayed here over a weekend to get some riding in on the GAP, and was the perfect location for it. The trail was a football field away, which made it very convenient to get on the trail and ride. Sites were level and marginally spacious, although I've seen more spacious at other COE parks. As others have mentioned, no water hookups but you can top off upon check-in. Dump station is convenient as well.
Confluence was a 3 minute bike ride away, and has a small grocery store.
Verizon bandwidth speeds on an unboosted iPhone 11: 25mbps down, 10mbps up.
Good for weekends, especially those hitting the GAP, however if you're looking for a place to relax for an extended period, might not be the best option.

My brother and I have camped at this Army Corps of Engineer Campground mid August every year for the past 11 years. We drop a vehicle at Ohiopyle State Park located about 11 miles downstream, return to the campground and then bike the rail trail along the Youghiogheny River. Once at Ohiopyle, we walk the town and visit the falls. The next day we always do something different like visit Fort Necessity, the 911 Memorial near Somerset, PA, or float down the Middle Yough to the pullout at Ohiopyle. This past weekend, we visited Mt. Davis, the highest point in Pennsylvania which is about 30 minutes from the campground. Great cell service both on AT&T and Version, but digital TV reception is nonexistent. We always have a great time at the Outflow Campground. You’ll find the area offers much to do to include white water rafting for those more adventurous.
