We arrived here after not finding any spaces in more centrally located sites. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise as this was a great ground. Spaces were large and clean, and very quiet.
Facilities are very good, with clean bathrooms and hot showers. The camp store is also very well stocked. We didn't try the restaurant as it's only open a few days per week.
No pool (the hot springs are 5 mins away), but there was a nice hot tub.
Pricing was very reasonable, we paid c 70 for the weekend and 55 during the week. Worth it given the quality.
Staff is also top notch.
We ended up staying 3 nights and using this as a base for the area (day trip to Telluride etc...)
Very good WiFi as well

We’re in a truck camper. Stayed two nights, spacious, lots of amenities, extremely helpful staff. Their office has some Rv supplies, munchies, drinks, etc.

Only deducted 1 star from the review due to the high cost and the fact that 3 or the 5 dryers were out of order when we visited in July 2023.

As others have said, it's not the best KOA ever, but it's also not the worst I've seen. A little pricey, but not surprising for the area. I stay here every year for the Telluride Blues & Brew festival, and it's perfectly fine for my needs. I only wish it was closer to Telluride.

This was our first time staying at a KOA, or KOA style campground for that matter. We usually camp on BLM/public lands and dispersed camping. So here is our objective opinion-
The staff was incredibly friendly. We had many instances in which the staff was very accommodating and kind. It had good cell service, which we needed so that we could work for a week. They have bathrooms that are cleaned regularly.
Cons: it is incredibly tight quarters, and the price was way too high for the tiny corner tent site we occupied. $50 a night. Also, they have horses on the premises doing regular trail rides through the campground. If you have dogs, this may affect your stay. Our dogs were fine, however the people leading the trail rides kept walking the horses right up next to our tiny site and letting the horses relieve themselves every time they went for a ride. So the smell of horse urine and flies were present most of our stay.
Other than this just not being our style and the few odd things, we had a pleasant experience.

We have stayed at several of the RV parks in this area and this was a good home base. I feel it was expensive, the rest rooms need to be updated and were not as clean as you’d expect for the amount of money they charge. The on-site restaurant was very convenient and good.

Although we saw some negative reviews about this location, we were very pleased. Staff was spectacular. Super friendly. Very helpful.
The campground is very conveniently located to ouray. We stayed in site 20. It was electric and water only but very nicely situated with close proximity to main building and bathhouse. But it still had privacy.
Would recommend staying in sites 2-9, 12 to 18, 20, or 30-37. As we drove in, we thought 2 - 9 would not be optimal but they back up to a beautiful running creek. Although they are electric and water only.
This KOA includes a restaurant, laundry, coffee shop, and a nice camp store.

KOA Has long been known as a higher cost RV site. We have used KOA only as the last resort. We came in late last night to the Ouray KOA and saw that we would have to pay $63 to stay for the night. This is about twice as much as we’ve paid it other private campgrounds. In the morning when checking out I found out that there was an additional eight dollar charge for a ‘resort fee’ and $10 from Ouray county. Total with tax $84.44. Neither of these fees is posted on the price sheet. The price we paid was only for water and electricity. Dump station is listed at $25. Guess the environmental fee doesn’t cover that. As I said we stay at KOA only as a last resort. This visit has confirmed it.
