I've camped here for a lot of years and the campground was the worst that I've ever seen. Not mowed and it just looks dirty. Everyone that I talked to was complaining. The camp hosts rode around and did nothing. A lot of empty spots on Memorial day weekend and it was always full. It is bad

Overall Rating
$20.00/night to stay here at Ottumwa City Campground. The sites can be a little crowded if you have neighbors. Most sites are electric/water hook ups. It's a nice campground for an overnight stay. It is a little loud with US Route 34 running just next to the grounds. The campground is a part of Ottumwa City Park which is huge. There's the city water park, dog park, ball fields, ponds and the Des Moines River all within walking distance. Sites are on the small side. Our 30ft TT just fit on site 50 with just enough room to park our truck perpendicular.
