Ottawa Rest Area Northbound

Good lighting and has many picnic table spots. Bathrooms were clean and had water fountains between the men and women bathroom entrances along with a map of the local area above it. The hill in the middle (where the restrooms are located) keeps it decently quiet from the nearby highway if you’re on the opposite side. Not too many spaces for cars to park but has a lot of shoulder parking for trailers/big rigs. Also has a dump station on the convenient loop at the north side of the rest area.

During our stay, 5 semi trucks each with a wind turbine blade on their long trailers (~170 feet + semi truck length) occupied most of the spots (3 in the designated semi truck shoulder parking, 1 nearby the dump station, and 1 right off the car/autos side of the entrance fork) yet we still fit our 1500 RAM and our 22 foot trailer between one of the semis and the restrooms (adjacent to the autos parking spots). Even allotted a good amount of space for the semi truck to maneuver out behind us while not occupying any of the parking spots. Felt very safe and quiet while being convenient with jumping back on the highway.
