We stayed at the group site next to the lake. Is a little hike down to the water. Trail ran around the lake and up higher in the mountains. Clean campground. One trail head is basically in the camp site. But if you like people, that is ok.
Nabel would stay here again

Headed out for a walk around the campground to be"greeted" by two dogs of leash that were very aggressive. We are dog lovers, but people need to leash thier dogs, especially if they do not have control of them and know they can be aggressive This situation could have ended much worse than it did.
Woke up and needed to turn the heater on as it was a child 32* morning. Sat down with a cup of coffee and looked out the window to see snow falling. Beautiful surprise!
No Verizon coverage to speak of.
Easy access for our 29ft trailer. Road in is one lane gravel, but there are places to pull out and pass if needed.
Neat old power station on the way up. It was not open, but was fun to look around and read about the history.
There is one site right on the lake if you are lucky enough to grab it.

We had heard of this campground from a relative and wanted to try something different. We were not disappointed. It is a beautiful, peaceful campground, especially for the morning walks around the lake. I would not recommend taking a high-end rig up here - the road to it can shake the fillings out of your teeth at the wrong time of year, but this is better suited to those who like to dry camp or tent it.
Chuck would stay here again
