Overview of Old Mingle Road Designated Dispersed Campsite 33

Camping is only allowed at designated campsites in Bald Eagle State Forest. Reservations and permits are required and can be made online or over the phone. Campfires are prohibited from March 1 - May 25 without authorization from the District Forester.

Black bears frequent the area. When not in immediate use, all food, beverages, coolers, cooking utensils, pet food, or other attractants must be kept in a closed, hard-sided vehicle or secured in a bear-proof storage container.

Overall Rating

Towed my 20’ travel trailer there with no issue. Old Mingle road is a bit bumpy but was fine. Raining when I pulled in and site was sloped and a bit muddy. Easily set up camp and leveled the trailer and good to go. I would not bring anything over 20’ to this site. Also had about 8-10 dead trees just waiting to drop their large branches on the site. Just stating the facts. Overall it met my needs and I had a great time.
