Overall Rating
There is definitely soft areas on the way in but both buses and the car made it through fine. Not very quite, road noise all day and night. Lots of long term locals living in vehicles here. Great cell signal, though. Great proximity to Havasu and 40.

The road in still gas some pavement from when 95 ran threw. It was washed out, and you need to be really careful of the loose sand. When you find a spot, its quiet and the T-Mobile signal is great.

Overall Rating
Easy on/off free dispersed area. There were 5 other rigs here. I can in at 6 pm on a Friday night.
I found a level spot a bit too close to the free way (definitely hear the noise) but fine for an over night. Full bars on AT&T.

This is a decent place with many hidden spots. The smart thing is to pull into the first spot and walk a ways in to plan your path. The road can get challenging in spots. This is a decent place with many hidden spots.
The smart thing is to pull into the first spot and walk a ways in to plan your path. The road can get challenging in spots. I was talking to a guy in a van that got stuck in the sand here. $500 for a tow. So walk it first.
There are some nice spots up and to the left. You can have campfires and there is plenty of desert wood to be had.
There are dune buggies that go by but mostly on the weekend.
And there is some road noise. You're close enough to Pilot and Love's for showers.

First off we really liked this spot because unlike many other boondocking spots in this area of the country it wasn't overly crowded and only one dune buggy showed up the entire time we were there. First off we really liked this spot because unlike many other boondocking spots in this area of the country it wasn't overly crowded and only one dune buggy showed up the entire time we were there. If you like desert landscapes and creatures this spot has an allure to it with the jagged hills and mountains rising up around it. The wildlife for a desert was abundant and we had several birds who constantly visited us. We even got to see a hawk take off with a lizard for lunch.
The access road to the dispersed sites is in need of some TLC. We traveled about 2-miles down the road where we found our spot and while it wasn’t a challenge for our F250 I would have probably been more concerned had we not had the 4x4 capability. We never needed to switch into 4 wheel drive but it was peace of mind just the same. The road consists of broken asphalt mixed with short sections of sand. The road is dilapidated but to be fair if you are going to camp here you will have to drive off the road either way so the likely hood of getting stuck is about the same as if the road was in perfect condition.
My real complaint about this site is that the road noise is louder than expected. It is far enough off the interstate that it wasn’t an issue but highway 95 has constant travel even during a pandemic. We were here during the Covid19 outbreak. We are full-timers so we did our best to social distance in some fairly remote areas.

Mile marker 201 is the entrance on the 95. We came after rain and it was still pretty sandy in the wash with a trailer. We have a 30’. Easy access to the 40 and a Pilot station to fill up before you get back on the road.

We had just the opposite of an experience of another review on here. We scouted and explored this area while camping up the road at craggy wash. We were timid at first because the road is quite bumpy from broken pavement and dips in the rocks/sand. There were only 3 other RVers here when we got there 1 class c, a truck camper, and one small trailer. As we drove further and further we got to the hills in the back and you can only go so far till you see cones up because of a break and pavement. If you stay to the left though instead of driving straight ahead back then you will lead to where we ended up staying. There is a wide open circle flat lot that has a big fire pit in the center is where we parked. It is far back enough that you feel like you are the only ones there. There were OHV tracks but they stayed far enough away that they did not bother us one bit, they stayed on the Old 95 road. We have a 27ft trailer with a 2wd half ton dodge and we’re able to get pack there win no problem but we had to go 5mph or below. It was worth it in the end. There are no camphost nor signs posted about how long you can stay but I assume the 14 day stay norm. Give this place a chance as we believe you can enjoy if you scout ahead and plan the best route to take. There are a couple ways to the back where we were but we scouted ahead because of some dips and small lips in the gravel to get over but nothing that couldn’t be done. We have cricket wireless service and had all 4 bars so I assume service is great for others. At night the only thing that I can see could be a negative is that there is a pilot gas station that you can see the lights from but nothing major. Oh, and where people left trash like we’ve seen elsewhere, and we tried picking some up while we were there. The nearest Walmart and shops in Lake Havasu are only a few miles down the road. The nearest dump is the Lake Havasu state park which is $15 for dump and water.

Only attempt this BLM if you have a full off road vehicle! No camp host. We have a 25 ft class C and I thought we were going to fall apart! Even going slow it was like we took it Bajaing! The broken pavement road is horrific to say the least, spots are non existent(Tini tiny) and deep sand everywhere! There were no reviews so I am writ... more
Only attempt this BLM if you have a full off road vehicle! No camp host. We have a 25 ft class C and I thought we were going to fall apart! Even going slow it was like we took it Bajaing! The broken pavement road is horrific to say the least, spots are non existent(Tini tiny) and deep sand everywhere! There were no reviews so I am writing this as a huge warning. Do not attempt if you're in anything but a 4 wheel drive! I'd give it a 0 if I could.
