It use to be a quiet peaceful lake. However there isn’t anyone taking care of it full time anymore. When the sun goes down drunks, loud trucks, music all start. We paid for our camp site but people just came in and use the ones around us for free. We did not see any Police or Enforcement. Stay away unless you are ready for rowdiness.

What a wonderful spot to camp. We found this on Campendium while traveling I40 east. Jeremy met us and took to our campsite & made sure we were ok. Beautiful lake setting on concrete pad with electric, water & cell service. No sewer but dump station on site. So relaxing. Highly recommend!!

Be aware that this lake no longer allows you to just show up and camp. Prepaid reservations only. The only way to make reservations is to call City Hall Monday thru Friday. 918 623 1050.
Otherwise, it’s a great quiet place and is much nicer than most around. Just be sure to get prior reservations!!

This place was a nice stop on my way back from out West. Self check in was done just before entering, with an envelope in a slot. There is a boat ramp that seems to get a few visitors throughout the night/early morning.

I hadn’t made plans, and I was trying to find a place for the night. When I called to make a reservation, the telephone line was disconnected. The correct phone number for the park is (918) 623-8200. I drove 6 miles in the dark on a smooth but narrow country road not knowing what was at the end. I landed right on the lake, with nobody else camping so I had the whole lake to myself, well....except for the ducks.

The biggest complaints I have about this lake are the fishing is only "so-so". People don't keep their dogs on a leash which can make for very tense situations. The wild partying, litter, total disregard for other campers by the redneck crowd. Then of course at the main gate there's a trailer house right at the gate with Harleys parked in front of it and always flying a Trump flag. I get free speech and all that, but it's a public lake for ALL to enjoy. Keep the politics out of it.

All camping is now prepaid reservations only. Call City Hall 918 623 1050. Do not just show up and expect to camp. New policy. Rates 25 per night 20 for Seniors and 15 for primitive.
