“Big Rig Friendly Adjacent to Access Road”

Overall Rating

The Mustang Grade Camping Area is not a campground but rather several posted areas where camping is authorized along the Mustang Grade access road. There are a few sites with fire rings, and I saw one picnic table during our on-site visit. The area is a pasture setting and there may be soft areas when wet. Outside of the few sites with fire rings, 4-Wheel Drive would be advised if camping in the open field. There are several overhead obstructions for high clearance vehicles along the main access road, but the tree overhang can be easily sidestepped because the access road is wide.
